Major\r\nResponsibilities
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nProvide individual, couple, and family counselling based on evidence-based\r\nassessment and treatment. Provide crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and\r\nevaluation to clients.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nProvide psychoeducation in group settings.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nConduct external referrals by matching client needs with available\r\ncommunity resources as appropriate.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nDocument assessment, intervention, client interactions, referral\r\ncorrespondences, clinical consultations, education, safety planning, outreach,\r\nin precise and concise English and in a timely manner, according to college,\r\nfunder, and accreditation requirements.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nLiaise with referral sources and funder liaison as directed.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nSupport clients through transitions and housing application processes
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nWork day and evening shifts in a roster with the rest of the team.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nSupport the Clinical Services Manager with external liaison and program\r\ndevelopment needs.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nMaintain strict confidentiality as outlined in agency privacy and\r\nconfidentiality policy.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nOther duty/assignment as reasonably assigned by Clinical Services Manager\r\nand/or Executive Director.
\r\n\r\n
\r\n\r\n
Qualifications
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nUniversity degree at the Bachelors level or above in Social Work, Psychotherapy,\r\nor Mental Health.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nEligibility for membership in Good Standing with a relevant governing\r\nbody.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nAt least 1 year of clinical experience in an institutional setting.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nKnowledge and experience of working with domestic violence, trauma work, mental\r\nhealth, couple and family therapy, brief therapy model.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nKnowledge of, sensitivity in, and commitment to serve the Chinese and\r\nAsian community in Ontario.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nFamiliar with community resources to support clients with Chinese and\r\nAsian cultural background
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nFluency in Verbal & Written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). Vietnamese an asset.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nAdaptability to commute to locations in the GTA, York Region and Peel\r\nRegion.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nProficiency in MS Office software programs and usage of Internet.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nAbility to work independently and as a team member.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nWillingness to work days / evenings, and occasional weekends as required.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nStudent mentorship skills an asset.
\r\n\r\n
· \r\nClearance from a Vulnerable Sector Police Screening.
